Ciao

Things at the moment

Inspiration, inspiration, inspiration – the word pops up everywhere in the production chain of fashion: Designers travel the world for “inspiration”, bloggers get outfit “inspiration”, fashion photographers seek out “inspiration”, journalists have a flash of “inspiration”, well, you get the idea. To put it straightforward: Inspiration is the cornerstone of fashion, both literally and figuratively speaking.

Inspiration isn’t always as easy to find as one might think though. And believe me, I’ve had writer’s block, days when I’ve been unable to write a single sentence. In my despair over not being able to create I hunt inspiration in magazines, blogs, newspapers, books. It’s to no avail. I am in a state where I reject everything I read and see as simply ”shit”.

So I am, all stressed out and feeling awful for not being able to produce any literal masterworks. And I can only perform tasks that doesn’t involve thinking. Non productive much?

Eventually I come to a point where I am ready to give up my journalist dreams and wish that I will never see a laptop again. Then I usually go on a (very upset) walk, headphones plugged in and blasting some skankalicious tune. Or I wander aimlessly around shops, not really looking at the clothes.

After a while (can be hours or days) my brain’s inspiration centre comes to life, which I can only describe as if the world becomes colourful again. A jacket is no longer just a jacket, it’s reminds me of Yves Saint Laurent’s S/S 68 Safari jacket. Which in its turn lead my thoughts to Diane von Furstenbergs African tulip dress and then to New York and how wonderful it was to see Monet’s Water Lilies at the MoMA. And all of a sudden my fingers are burning to hit the keyboard.

Don’t expect me to explain this chain of connotations, all I know is that something (may it be a piece of clothing, a rap song or a tree, anything) inspires me and in the end I have a finsihed article. The next time that ”something” is very likely to be completely different, and I have absolutely no idea what it might be. Therefore I have to look at everything. I can never stop. I don’t want to stop.

Visions dispersed…

Cue the rain. Cue gray skies. Cue cold weather. This is London, the “summer” of 2012. I need fall inspiration and fast. The first couple of days of my visit I styled it out with clever layering (thanks to a year-round gilet obsession and several pairs of black tights). But, how do I start my fast-track to fall? I was pondering this very subject one evening, when a couple of my closest London girlfriends decide to smuggle me out of the office to show me the sights and delights some of the city’s hottest nightspots.

As we wander from the Groucho Club to Scotch, past girls in teeny leather shorts, chunky heels and punk-inspired head-dresses (hello Dolce & Gabbana fall 2012) what immediately strikes me is the vibe: it’s loud, it’s buzzing and it’s totally rock ‘n’ roll… It feels like a flashback to the swinging sixties. People are dancing, Rolling Stones remixes are blasting out the speakers. And then it hits me! All this rebellious energy, this cool Britannia spirit, can also be found on the runway now thanks to the boom of talented young Brit designers such as J. W Anderson, Richard Nicoll and Mary Katrantzou. Plus, it’s perfect for fall weather come early.

So, the very next day I set about creating an edit of pieces that would add anglophile punch to my new season wardrobe. First, the mod heels – or as the Brits would say, ‘the clod-hoppers’. Burberry Prorsum has the perfect leather wedge boots that give you the legs of a supermodel and the attitude of alt rocker PJ Harvey. Tick! Next comes the leather kilt, championed by Joseph and Paul & Smith, it’s a key piece for fall and a killer Brit-chic staple. Finally, no polished punk girl is complete without something plaid. Lucky for us, window-pane checks and regal plaid prints are big news for the new season, stamped on everything from purses to crew-neck sweaters. My favorite has to be Christian Louboutin’s bold clutch; it’s loud and statement making but totally on-trend. There you have it, a fresh fall look with a cool rock ‘n’ roll kick.

Comes A Whole New Dress Code #BEACH

As if looking fabulous at all times wasn’t already enough of challenge, but the searing heat and impromptu social whirl takes mastering day-to-night chic to another level. In where as the weather heats up known as the land of clam bakes, poolside lunches and chilled out barbeques on the beach. I like to think of it as

‘fashion summer camp’.

Well, it’s all about perfecting the hi/lo mix. Choosing key pieces that are versatile but effortlessly alluring enough to take you anywhere. Amp up swimwear with stacks of fine jewelry, festival bands and bright jersey tanks. Also, arm yourself with a bright leather shopper and comfortable wedges – they are totally cute for brunch and beyond. Last but by no means least, a feminine, statement print dress is the ideal cover-up for every last-minute invite. Follow these rules and you should never feel caught off guard. Until next time… enjoy wherever’s Summer!

To me, acting childish seems to come naturally,

Children are doing straight from their heart and mind. Sometimes they latch on to the wrong detail, see patterns where they don’t exist. Sometimes they shut down defensively: unable to make sense of what is going on and overloaded by uncertainty they start attacking what is going on. Oversimplify and denigrate, hope it goes away.

Being right or wrong is meaningless to prized naive sincerity heartfelt.

We can always… find  the location of our own suffering and troubles. But it’s not necessarily the place where we should be. Being at a place where we want to be is what being human is all about. And if we have such close friends, we will definitely obtain courage.

With only this kind of weapon.

Home , Office Home Home, Office or Home  and Office inseparable familiar place to most self-employ is it not? Chez LIT Legs In Rhythm – Tout de meme! 🙂 …..   être pris en charge par mes parents LOL 😦

Acquiring technologies in our everyday working lives at a rate of one every couple of years: email, a mobile phone web browser, sear engines that worked, GPS-powered satellite navigation systems and mobile internet, online social networks and information resources beyond our wildest dreams. Even though we get the privilege, there are times when it feels desperately uncertain. Too fast, too quick – slow down 🙂  Shall we digital natives?

Wake up to home cooked breakfast, an irresistible smell barista brew grind coffee to wash down the households poached egg, make it two! sauteed spinach and fresh slices of succulent tomatoes (rich sources of essential vitamins for eyes and BRAIN). No more falling over running after time when late just to picked up an usual Venti Soya Latte at Starbuck – office girls and boys was doing a the longest China Wall desperately need warm mass dehydration a good cup of Nicotine injected.  Sacrastic!? Hands up! me me me LoL.

And yeah – one laugh every morning start off the day with joy. It’s fun not taking life too serious. That laugh is both annoying and amazing at happiness and sweetest unfortune, it what makes youthfulness alive. When looked back and said ” How silly I was!” Glad that had happened couldn’t turn back time – now I’m 50s!!

Spirituality – Before going to spent the whole day with Apple love – nice warm shower with Bvlgari Petits et Mamans I first bought it from UAE when transit flight to Bangkok 5 years ago. Subltle smell of cotton fresh slightly stronger for the fragrance LIT!. Sadly I could not find it here in London, not even at Harrods or flagship store. Garments that have more percentage of cotton than the mix of synthetics farflung japanese online brands – United Arrows, much love for their absolute one stop shop. When we are in the middle of exhilaration at the pace of change from miscellaneous projects. Feeling uneasy, so a bit of mind exercise cure? Well in a car we tell people are car sick to look ahead. Focus on the road ahead and you will feel alright. The advice should be similar for people with overloaded rage and deadline chasing sickness: look ahead. Stop focusing on all the dizzying stimuli around us right now and understand where we are going, what the broader sweep of things means.

Saturday 18th April 2010,

Ahhhhhhh again I was late to meet my sixth-form school oldddddd friend, Ari, or his self-naming Sprite! We meant to meet at 2pm. I delayed to 4pm. His patient is well respect that I’m giving him a making up trip to Brighton, going to wandering around in his seaside home town for another kiddy day today. Before I’m going to shooting off, posting yesterday journey before daily diary becoming a yearly one!

We started off with pretty intense long walk from Waterloo on South Bank of the Thames River feeling intellectual discussed arts we were spotted all sort of forms from an unbearable two naked ladies, couple kissing in limited sunny green space including these adorable persuasive dream teamer were gathering doing such gore increased voyeur’s adrenaline highly pumping under the Hayward  Gallery (+.+”),

Peak performance stuffed us full to skip lunch, we kept on walking towards with plan for Vietnamese supper in East london. On the way, this beautiful architecture on Blackfriars Road was catching my eyes impressively, partly an eye-sore for that metal parts construction going on behind. I did not know what purpose is this building for, generously guessing as if it is a gentleman club to spend day and night sharing and arguing good causes thought (Yes I was in a mood for being imaginative). It represented a real peace of mind to me. In the other hand, a victory to one who determined to wins a debate. As well as a memory of my catholic boarding school St Mary School and love affair country of France for colours of blue, red, white and gold,

Sweating, foot hurting to tears, we finally located ourselves in Heaven, a heaven of food!!! LOL. The Vietnamese restaurant in Shoreditch. Everything on the menu and dishes on others people table was seem to deserved our starvation. A massive bowl of round noodles in spicy chicken soup pho, Slow-cooked Cat-fish in chilli and shrimp sauce hot pot – that’s all we’ve ordered. Financially couldn’t served our greed LOL!! But Ari he did had this yummy looking Aloe Vera juice while I was drunkening myself a glass of (one more time) rubbishRose 😦

ramen-gyoza-hokkaido paris-meilleur restaurant japonais paris

The trip leads us pay a short visit to several pubs, first a quick face checking at Electricirty Rooms where relative small attraction hold us on. I then took him to Macbeth where supposively to being seen of good-looking avant-garde fashion indie kids- dispointment aprroved by time as we were turning up a little bit too early around 9 ish. Timing is everything indeed because Ari is needed to go back to be at Victoria station to catch the last train back to Brighton before 11pm. However we managed to stop by last happening events of the day, Bangers and Mash at 93 Feet East where was full of university students having blood sucked from rather, unexpected good band live play The House of Strange. They were giging on stage wore well suited to their group name of character costume assortments of keyboard player’s tiger or lion hardly to recognise, futuristics and japanese samurai guitarist. The lead singer with real impressive the tiniest roll perm, to break such strangeness down he wore a casual outfits of tracksuits jacket over graphic printed tee-shirt and a pairs of loose jeans -American heritage wasn’t it?

Yeah he’s obviously have an American accent I reassure Ari an argumentative point of mine about their originate, you loose! Treat me real good today mate!!

I was hanging about for nearly 2 hours enjoying my own company and a bottle of rubbish 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot wine damaged total of 28 pounds (may I ‘Exclamation’ of  what the sunny Friday was ripping off by!!). I’m a person who laugh at self unfortunate, goes on believe in there’re always a rainbow after any stormy rain hence indulgenced window shopping.

And so there were in many shades of rainbow hidden gems great mix both high-end and smaller brands from Question-Air stockist of Paul & Joe, Paul SmithAmerican Vintage and many more of casual luxury household name got present here. Petit Bateau oh my candy of childhood fashion wardrobe and most embarrassing thing I proudly accepted is that I still want and sky rocket happily wearing them if they’re fit!  Love for children clothes I’m putting myself up for criticism bought H&M Kids Hello Kitty leggings all in the same print in 3 different colours (>.<“)

The day of nostalgia childhood was not yet end after the kids range shopping spree. I went further down a road of kindergarten passe surprisingly found this bicycle parts shop which is even nicer than retail-therapy. I have had a brain cure ridiculously took a mickey on pretending to ride this 1/4 smaller than me horse machine.

Making all up a bum hurting from riding lesson and a pleasingly imagined brunch!

Mad JW* (Mr Choi Jeung Woo -.-‘ ). Love or Life? Adult or Child,

He became a man and sacrificed himself as the final sacrifice for sins. are you ready to sacrify? christ never wants sacrification of others, hence he sacrifies.

A matter of time and stage of life…that is what everyone has to go through a period of maturity. Trying to make sense of an amateur, progression towards lingering sincere relationship that having and going to have (m^_^m) Bow Bow Bow (JW*signature phrase)

Reflection on joy of the journey and each shore life boat stop by.

Whatever happen we are all always can try again 🙂

The day’s family visit left me exhausted, went to bed dog-tired every night for last couple of weeks. Regardless of running with time tour de England trip from North in York to Devon and inadequate logistic to transport Bicester’s silly shopping that will end up piling a stack leveraged live installation at home making Mom proud of winning the bargain! There’s only two days left I’d have them as an excuses to skip riding lesson :0 Not all just play and being lazy you know I managed a half done gardening plan for this summer.

Images of current back garden circumstance, (-.-“)

I divided it into 2 area of sunrise where is main activity space with much sun get to and sunset where that big green green tree taken away my summer feel:(. This area is needed most to revamp big time. Challenges of its location where behind the door is unnoticeable space that cried out for attention.

It’d possibly be lighten up with some sort of necessary means – must be crops! Herbs, fruits and vegetables perhaps close-cup mushroom, artichoke, cauliflower etc. planting along with multicoloured wild forest flowers Oh my favourite! lavender, daisy and anything else looking whimsical >_<” x  Adding quirkiness of a sense of half term summer field trip.

Valedictorian ever made that moves the entire schoolers,

We were born to love! We were born to love. We were not born to suffer.

The 20th century that has been created by irresponsible adults is filled with conflict and deceit. We were not born to suffer.

There are tines when we will meet people who are heartless, and we will feel like hitting them from behind. But we were not born to hurt others.

There are times when we will meet people who are heartless, and we will feel insecure, or stifled. But we not born to be hurt by others.

Sometimes we create another person inside us. Perhaps that is just a way of escaping from pain and suffering. Perhaps we are only preparing ourselves for escape. Shutting ourselves in our home and running to another place in order to talk to that other person, the friend inside us.

That is why no one is ever alone. Everyone of us has a friend, the friend inside us. That is why no one is ever alone. Everyone has a friend the other person inside us.

There are times when we think that friend is bad company, that he is cowardly and cruel. But in reality it is different. The one that is cowardly and cruel is not out friend but ourselves. Why? Because in truth, the existence of that friend is created by us for our own sake. That is why… We have to part with that wonderful friend. If we don’t do so, we will always be dependent on that other person inside us.

Well then when will that happen? It will happen when we meet the person we love. When we give up loneliness, sorrow, pain, and the other person inside us for that person we love.

So! Let’s go look for the one we love. Someone we love whom we can talk to about anything, to laugh with, to cry with, to hold each other, to kiss and sex with. Someone from whom we can get courage from and to whom can give courage in return.

The only reason we were born is to love! The only reason we were… valedictorian.
